Gov. Beshear Asks Kentuckians To Be Cautious Of COVID On Thanksgiving

(Frankfort, KY) - Governor Andy Beshear is asking Kentuckians to take steps to prevent spreading COVID-19 this Thanksgiving.

Beshear outlined several tips for holiday get-togethers, including vaccines, boosters, not attending a gathering if you're sick, wearing masks indoors for those who aren't vaccinated and keeping the number of people gathered low. He said all the tools are available to be safe this holiday season.

Kentucky is seeing the highest number of new COVID-19 cases in at least a month.

Beshear says there have been more than 3,800 new cases and 101 newly-reported deaths since Saturday.  The positivity rate has creeped up to 6.56 percent.
