Kentucky COVID-19 Cases Plateauing After Weeks Of Decline

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Kentucky's COVID-19 numbers appear to be plateauing.

Giving a COVID-19 update, Governor Beshear said last week's COVID numbers were higher than the previous two weeks.  There were 76 more COVID-related deaths to report between Saturday and Monday.

Kentucky's COVID positivity rate is 5.73%.

The governor is continuing to urge people to get themselves and their children vaccinated against the virus. He says children make up between 25 and 30 percent of all new COVID cases in Kentucky.

58% of all Kentuckians have received at least their first dose of the COVID vaccine.
