(Frankfort, KY) - Kentucky's mask mandate in public schools will end next week.

The Kentucky General Assembly overrode a veto by Governor Andy Beshear late Thursday night.

Senate Bill One takes effect immediately, but the mandate won't be officially voided for five business days.

School districts may still implement their own mask requirements.
