(Louisville, KY) - Authentic is the winner of the 146th Kentucky Derby.
Tiz the Law finished second and Mister Big News finished third.
Authentic went off at 9-1 odds. Mister Big News was the longshot at 47-1 odds.
Tiz the Law, the favorite, had won the Belmont Stakes in June and was seeking to secure the second jewel in the Triple Crown.
Thousand Words was an event scratch before the race after flipping in the paddock. He was going off at 10-to-1.
