Louisville Officers Destroy Gallons Of Milk

Protests Continue In Louisville Over Deaths In Recent Police Shootings

(Louisville, KY) - Plain-clothes officers destroyed gallons of milk and took cases of water from protesters demonstrating against the death of Breonna Taylor on Saturday.

The milk is used to dampen the effects of tear gas.

Mayor Greg Fischer said other materials were mixed in with the milk and water, including flammable materials.

Taylor was killed in March in her own bed by police officers. They had entered her apartment after midnight with a no-knock search warrant.

Taylor's boyfriend thought an intruder had entered their home and fired a warning shot. Police fired nearly two dozen shots, eight of them hitting Taylor.
