Rand Paul Attacker To Be Resentenced

Rand Paul Meets Potential Voters In Crucial Primary State Of New Hampshire

(Bowling Green, KY) - The neighbor who pleaded guilty in 2018 of tackling Senator Rand Paul over lawn care disputes is set to be re-sentenced.

A judge says that Rene Boucher's original sentence was unreasonable.

Boucher faced 30 days in prison, 100 hours of community service, a year of supervised release, and a $10,000 fine.

The judge didn't specify whether the sentence was too long or too short, but said it was "well below guidelines."

Court documents say that Boucher was frustrated that Paul continued to leave debris in his yard and attacked the Senator in 2017.
