Over Budget Louisville Zoo To Make Changes

(Louisville, KY) - The Louisville Zoo is asking the city for a couple of million dollars more than it did just a few years ago.

Zoo officials told Metro Council's Budget Committee Thursday it's way behind on its number of visitors and is over budget.

They say with the City of Louisville facing a hole in its budget, cuts will have to be made, including some jobs.

Prices will also go up for tickets on certain days like weekends, souvenirs, food and parking could go up and the zoo will be looking for more sponsors.
