KY Gov: $36M In Total Assistance Already Provided To Tornado Victims

(Frankfort, KY) - Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear says millions of dollars have already been given to those impacted by the devastating tornadoes that hit the state. 

Beshear said more than $10 million of that came from FEMA. He also reminded residents there is still time to apply for FEMA assistance.

The state wass ravaged by multiple tornadoes since last month, including a tornado that tore through Mayfield, Kentucky, causing significant damage in the community of about 10,000. 

At least 76 people lost their lives in the state after the severe weather.
