Plan Would Allow Teachers To Protest While Keeping Schools Open

(Louisville, KY) - Jefferson County Public Schools and its teachers union are agreeing to a plan to keep schools open when teachers protest in Frankfort.

The plan allows for three people from each school to head to Frankfort during the four days left in the legislative session.

That's nearly 500 JCPS educators who could be in Frankfort while keeping schools open in Louisville.

The Jefferson County Teachers Association sent the plan to its members Thursday.

JCTA officials are calling it a winning plan for students, teachers and parents.
